1. What does Project bYouty stand for?

It stands for people, it stands for the planet, for conscious consumers, for authenticity, for education and for integrity – which means we do the right thing even when no one’s watching including never stocking fake, uncompromised or shady products.

It’s curation, not collection.

2. What was the inspiration?

At our core we were frustrated consumers trying to navigate dodgy sites, hefty shipping costs and mysterious import duties while being engulfed in an unrealistic media narrative about the beauty industry. So we decided to change it and shift the focus to raw, honest and authentic discourse about self-care, skincare, body shapes and self-love that’s not driven by trends or pay-to-play influencers.

More than that, we found a way to do it inclusively, meaning the independent and oh-so loved little brands get a place they can call home here in the Middle East.

Ultimately it’s about realising the shift in consumerism and the need to do our bit to protect the planet – after all, there is no planet B.

3. What does the name mean?

A project is something that’s ongoing and we have every intention of being here for the long haul. The spelling of 'bYouty' is a nod to the Arabic pronunciation of the English word – it’s a small sign of our respect respect for the country we call home, and the beautiful people in it.

4. What is your packaging made from?

All our packaging is ideal for those living sustainably, and always will be.

We use acid-free tissue paper, printed with soy-based inks that’s FSC-certified.

Our mailers are completely compostable and made from a combination of PBAT – a bio-based polymer which is compostable, and PLA which is made up of plant materials such as regular field corn and wheat straw.

Where we have no choice but to use an outer box we use entirely recycled cardboard, filled with entirely biodegradable foam chips.

The water-activated tape we use to hold everything neatly in place is environmentally friendly, 100% recycled, certified by the Forest Stewardship Council and printed with eco-friendly soy inks.

In addition to our commitment to packaging as a business we do not send any paper receipts – we work entirely electronically.

How do I create an account?

Super simple. Once you've landed on the homepage, click the little human symbol in the top right corner and follow the instructions via 'create an account'. In less than a minute you'll be in bYouty heaven – you're welcome.

I've forgotten my password

It happens to us all, don't even sweat it. Top right hand corner, you'll see the prompt for 'forgotten password'. Click here and you'll be sent an email with a link to reset your password. Easy.

Is my personal and banking information kept private?

Project bYouty does not hold any personal banking information, we work closely with our payment gateway providers to use modern practices such as tokenization and 3DS to ensure complete security when purchasing online.

6. Orders and Delivery

Where do I get my order number?

Your order numbers both past and present can all be found inside your account information.

What are your delivery charges?

These are determined by your delivery location. However, keep in mind delivery is free on all orders worth over AED 200 within the UAE and for those over AED 750 equivalent for the rest of the GCC.

Same day delivery? 

We guarantee every order will be received within 24 hours (our average delivery time in the UAE is just under 150 minutes).

How are duties and taxes applied?

All duties and taxes are calculated at checkout and are dependent on your delivery location.

Where do you ship?

We proudly ship across the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman.

7. Returns and Exchange

Due to the nature of our industry we do not offer returns on any products unless faulty or damaged. If this is the case please take a picture of your product within 24 hours of delivery, attach to an email, include your order number in the subject bar and email hello@projectbyouty.com

What's your payment methods?

We accept all major credit and debit cards as well as cash on delivery and Apple Pay.

Is it safe to use CC online?

Absolutely! We use the most modern online 3DS facilities and work with our payment gateway providers to ensure that all transactions are protected against fraudulent activity.
